Discover what to look for in a wine, from its nose to its legs. Then test your new-found skills with our wine challenge.
You’ll learn about colour, intensity, aroma, sweetness, acidity, tannin, body and flavours, using the approach taken by wine professionals internationally. The best in your group will win a prize!
After you know what to look for in a wine, we’ll set you a wine challenge, where you – and your friends – get to see how much attention each of you was paying. You get to test out your new knowledge on three white wines and three red, each served blind.
It’s up to you to work out which is which.
You’ll need to decide if you want to take the challenge individually or in pairs or teams. Whatever you decide, there’s a prize for the winner.
We use the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) approach to wine tasting. The WSET is the world’s leading provider of globally recognised education and qualifications in wines and spirits.
Graham will lead the session with you. He holds the WSET’s Level 3 qualification with merit and also graduated from the French Wine Scholar programme with honours.
The session usually lasts up to two hours. At just 30€ per person, it’s a great way to have fun while you learn vital life skills.
