Don’t let lockdown make you feel isolated. Get together online with your friends and family while you learn what to look for in a wine, from its nose to its legs.
Then test your new-found skills with our wine challenge. The best in your group will win a prize!
You’ll learn about colour, intensity, aroma, sweetness, acidity, tannin, body and flavours, using the approach taken by wine professionals internationally. After you know what to look for in a wine, we’ll set you a wine challenge, where you – and your friends – get to see how much attention each of you was paying.
You get to test out your new knowledge on three red wines, each served blind. It’s up to you to work out which is which.
You’ll need to work out if you want to take the challenge individually or in pairs or teams. Whatever you decide, there’s a prize for the winner.
We use the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) approach to wine tasting. The WSET is the world’s leading provider of globally recognised education and qualifications in wines and spirits.
Graham will lead the session with you. He holds the WSET’s Level 3 qualification with merit and also graduated from the French Wine Scholar programme with honours.
The session usually lasts up to 90 minutes. At just 75€ a session – plus the cost of the wines themselves – it’s a great way to have fun while you learn vital life skills.
We’ll provide the wines for you – and offer a discount on the usual takeaway prices. We recommend using Zoom for the event.
Don’t let confinement get you down. Learn to taste wine like a professional while you catch up with friends and family.
