If you’re planning a wedding or just having friends over, we can provide a wine tasting, a food-and-wine pairing or a buffet to help make the most of the occasion.

For groups of six or more, we can help you get to know the wines and foods of south-west France in a range of ways.

Here are five of the most popular events we run.

Learning to taste wine like professionals
The most popular wine tasting we run is one where we teach you to taste wine like professionals. You will learn about colour, acidity, tannin, body, aromas and flavours using the approach taken by wine professionals internationally.

Then we set you and your guests our wine challenge, where you test out your new knowledge on three white and three red wines, each served blind. There’s even a prize for the person or team with the highest score.

During the tasting, we serve platters of cheese and charcuterie. These are designed to complement the wines and help soak up some of the alcohol.

The tasting typically lasts two hours or so and suits groups of six to 12 people.

Wines of the South West
Here, we offer a tasting of four good-quality red wines from respected vineyards in the South West to showcase the different styles available.

We can provide information sheets about the wines for those who are interested, or simply explain the wines as we serve guests.

The wine tasting typically lasts an hour and is tailored for larger events, as it allows guests to dip in and dip out as they please.

Food and wine pairing
Here we share our passion for cheese, charcuterie and wine in four steps. Our aim is to help you experience the best of what this corner of France has to offer.

We do this by matching four wines from the region with eight local cheeses or cold meats. With each pairing, we explain the background to each and why the various items work so well together.

The wines, cheeses and charcuterie are sourced from local independent producers and vineyards wherever possible.

The pairing typically lasts a couple of hours and suits groups of six to 12 people.

Cheese and charcuterie buffet

With this option, we serve platters of top-quality, artisanal cheeses, cold meats and vegetables, with local breads. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements if we know in advance.

Our team is on hand to top up the buffet and to explain what’s on the platters, as needed. In 2024, we were named Cheese Connoisseurs of the Year in the Restaurant and Bar Awards, so we know our stuff.

A buffet typically lasts two hours and suits large or small groups.

Running buffet and drinks
Here we work with artisan producers and independent vineyards and breweries to offer sublime local wines, beers, cheeses and charcuterie.

With this option we offer a running buffet and our team is on hand to welcome guests with drinks and to top up glasses for the duration of the event.

We serve platters of top-quality, artisanal cheeses, cold meats and vegetables, with local breads. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements if we know in advance.

For the wines, we serve good-quality red, white and rosé wines from a highly respected vineyard. We work with a small local producer for the beers and also offer a selection of four branded soft drinks.

A typical food and drink buffet lasts for up to three hours.
